Prior to joining the EPFL in August 2012, Dr. Bugnion was raised in Neuchtel, Switzerland. Bugnion graduated with the bachelors degree in engineering from ETH Zurich. He is a Professor in the School of Computer and Communication Sciences at the Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne (EPFL) and, since January 2017, also the Vice President for Information Systems at the EPFL.
